Well I started this thing in november, and well, today I decided to get the best of my many pics up! I've got a whole week off school so I got time on my hands!
The first one is of the filthy carcass that I started off with before I rode the living hell out of it for 2 years. The second is it getting a set of cr lowbend bars off my buddies dirtbike and a new front tire (note you may also notice my pinup collection and notice that this was before I cleaned up my farm shop), the third is of the front end of the trike, my other big red, and my sweet tush in coveralls (they make the small of my back look not so small!), the 4th is when I started the teardown. The rest are from various stages in the resto/build, as you can see for a while my basement shop was rather hillbilly-lookin' well that changed friday night. I've also got a pic of necessary equipment for undertaking a restoration, and a funny poster I've got in my shop. There is also a pic of the valvecover before, and now, and I am FAR from done getting the grease off of that thing! Trike on!

Hey thanks man, the shop is quite handy, I haven't managed to fill it with trikes yet, but I average about a new trike per year so its only a matter of time lol. Dude we so need to go riding some time, the mud monster big red and 480R will shake some ground and show the quads who's boss! The head gasket on this puppy was disintegrated to pretty much nothing! Almost metal to metal except for some grease and some small gasket pieces!

And darn proud of it man! Haha.

Which trike do you need to see the left of? As far as I know none of the racks are HondaLine. The 83 has a home made front box and a bracket on the back rack for a gun case, it also has a thing on the hitch to hold one of those old style circular metal gas cans-which I happen to have a small collection of.
Hey thanks for all the comments everybody! Man I love doing restorations, like I have always said, ATV's are 2 million times better than TV. I do have more pics if anyone is interested.

Thanks again for all the comments guys! Yep the shop is VERY handy to work in, I'm still getting it set up though, I've got to put in beches, some better seating in my little bar in there, I also need to put the stereo in there, the white walls are also a bit bland so I may paint some murals on them but, time will tell. I also finally got the shop and my basement workshop cleaned up, I can't stand working in a mess. I also need to get some better heating in there eventually.

Thanks again for all the comments guys. This definitely won't be the last trike I restore and it for sure won't be the last Big Red that I do. The shop is a great place to work in. Its 40'x80' and can fit all my stuff in it with good space to work on cars and trikes, it doesn't have the in floor heating, but with the big lights and an electric heater you stay pretty warm in winter especially if you are working hard, in summer I just leave the overhead door open so I dont bake and it stays real nice in there. It is neat how alot of us are redoing our rigs, thats the kind of motivation I like to see!
