Front tire selection...... F same as the rears?

I'm just curious.......do most of you run the same F tire (the tread pattern) as the rears or get a tire that is more suited for turning the bike. Seems odd, some of the F tires I see you guys putting on as I wouldn't think they would turn very good. Alot seem like true R traction tires and don't seem like they would be right for a F tire selection.

Let me clarify. I'm talking about the tread pattern and not the actual size.

I run tread tamers on front and normal knobbies in back. turns fairly decent.
