IM HAVIN A PROBLEM WITH MY QUAD THE BIKE IS LEAKIN COOLANT INTO THE OIL.. IVE TRIED REPLACING THE WATER PUMP AND MECHANICAL SEAL, THE HEAD GASKET... THE BIKE IS STILL CONSUMING COOLANT, AND BUILDING UP PRESSURE IN THE RESEVOIR... COOLANT IS SCREAMIN OUT OF THE OVERFLOW HOSE...? THE BIKE RIDES FINE BUT I HAVE TO KEEP PUTTIN COOLANT IN THE BIKE?




HOW ELSE COULD COOLANT GET INSIDE THE CRANKCASE... BY THE WAY ITS ALSO SHEDDIN WATER PUMP IMPELLERS? ROUNDIN THEM OUT COMPLETLY... WAT CUASES THIS ON THE 87 MODEL?


WEREC OULD I FIND USED PARTS MAYBE I COULD FIND SOME USED PARTS MAYBE ITS THE RIGHT HAND COVER THAT IS BAD? THE PART WERE THE SEALS ACTUALLY SEAT AT? :rolleyes:

MOST 87's do that, the pump runs backwards on that year, the clutch cover gasket may not be sealing the area where coolant flows well(behind the pump)if its spitting coolant out the overflow and resi, might be a bad head gasket, i always have to add alittle coolant after each ride, half a cup full

OK I TOOK THE BIKE APART TODAY AND I LEFT THE WATER PUMP HOSE CONNECTED TO THE RIGHT CASE COVER... WHEN ADDED WATER TO THE RADIATOR I SAW WATER COMING WAT APPEARS TO BE FROM BEHIND THE WATER PUMP SHAFT... I JUS REPLACED THE WATER PUMP AND MECHANICAL SEAL.. I REMOVED THEM AND SAW THE LIP IN THA CASING WAS BROKEN...


COULD BE THE CAUSE THERE? :rolleyes:

ANYONE KNOW WERE I CAN FIND ANOTHER COVER FROM?


BY THE WAY THE OIL LOOKED LIKE WHITE ELMER'S GLUE.... :confused:

when water mixes with oil it turns that color, check ebay for a cover or eastcoastatv.com

contact trinity and get us cases fixed the 87's had problems with bad castignin thier cases and the symptom was coolnt out the overflow constantly.
