How should I line up my 200x kicker gears?

How do they go? Which of these ways is right, or are they both wrong?

ya gotta line up the punch marks on the 2 gears, but first ya gotta line up the punch marks on the shafts. if i remember correctly, been a while.

i see the puch mark on the right one but not the left. sure that left one isn't in backwards?

OK, you have to line up the marks on the two gears (teeth) and on the left one, there is another mark, line that one up with the one on the shaft (mark is on the side not the top) the mark on the kickstart shaft lines up with the kickstarter (which im sure you know)

Thanks everyone, I guess the top way is right then. I was just confused because it looks like it's kinda wasting some extra teeth that way.
