por-15 tank sealing question

can i use the petcock to seal (close) ythe bottom of the tank or will the chemicals damage it? i have read a few threads where people made plates and such to plug the hole when they did it. seems easier to leave the petcock in and close it.

One reason some people block off thier petcock rather than close it is because you have seals in there and the chemeicals might destroy them. It is safer to siply block it off. Consider it an insurance policy.
