I don't know much about this motor. I'm looking into doing a "Greenhuman 200X/ATC70 conversion." I have a suspension frame that's begging for more hp.
what is the difference between the 200X and 200S?
what model years am I looking for?
Is one year better than another?
Are these clutch motors?
How many speed tranny do they have?
I will be buying a repair manual. I just thought I'd ask these questions first. Thanks for any input anyone has.

yes manual clutched motors
and 5 gears.
the difference between X and S is that the X is kick start, has a better performance cam and the whole engine is more performance orientated.

Many parts are interchangable between them but a 200s motor would be good because it is pull start. Kick start on a 70 is hard work, there isnt much room.
Attached is a pic of the motors that he is importing to use now. Very similar to a 200x motor except its electric start, bore is 69mm standard and the stroke is shorter. The cam has roller bearings and the whole thing is brand new.

Greenhuman uses a 200X motor for the 70 correct? So that would be with a kick starter.
does the kickstarter kick forward or backwards?
83-85 200X 5spd
85-87 200x 6spd?
is there any other difference between the years?
which year does Greenhuman prefer to use?
does anyone have any pics of the 200X installed in a 70?
any pics would be great

Where can we get more info on that motor?
And the 200x kicks forward. The motors were changed in 86 (they mount differently) and they have more HP.

I've seen a 70 with a 200x motor in it. It looked awesome but it would wheelie over backwards, lol. The kickstart didn't seem to be a problem.

I figured that if the kickstart kicks forward that it wouldn't be a problem with the rear fender. The 200X motor will be going into this 70 frame . I have a longer wheel base and supespension so that should help keep the wheelies under control :D

greenhuman is user on this board and he hails from the land down under. that 200x engine "tipped over" is a horizontal version of the 200x. the kickstart of the 200x wouldnt be a problem as they kick forward.

sorry you can't be #38, you can be #43 :D
We had a 70 Regatta last weekend at Glamis. You should have see all of us ride up to and inside the fence at Boardmanville. Jeanie (owner BMV) let all of us park along the fence. I will post pics in an other thread soon.
