TRX 125 Project

Hey guys,
If I can't find a good TRX 125 motor for my 85-86 TRX 125. Would I regret putting in an ATC 125m motor? I know I would loose the reverse, :wondering and that kind of sucks. But other than that what else would I need to do or consider?

i have a motor for an 86 atc125m if thats what you are looking for? it is a good running motorjust needs putin chasis and thro w a electric starter in it and a carb and go. sell for 75bux plus shipping from 18074.

My buddy did that very same thing and he said it went right in. I do not think he had any major problems getting it to work.

The 86 & 87 ATC125m motors have a upright cyinder. It would take a massive amount of fabrication to make it fit into your machine.

FYI: 84-85 ATC125m's and the 85-86 TRX125 motors are simular. The big difference is in the reverse. TRX has it and the ATC don't.

i have always wondered why the heck they have reverse on a little 125 quad that you can lift with 1 hand and swing around.......i dont think you would miss it much LOL
