I think this is a bracket left over from y Honda days. If some body knows what it is send my Five bucks or so to cover shipping and its yours. I hate the idea of even simple parts going to wast.

it lloks to me like a part off my old 200sx (quad) it hugged the gas tank and held on the gas tank plastic& the back plastic

I found it. Thanks for giving me the direction. I did have an old four trax a few years ago. The plstic on it was trash so I replaced all of it. I must have thrown that bracket in a box during the repair and forgot about it. Well, the offer still stands, if any body wants or needs it.

so what bike kind/year is it off of?

The four trax I has was an 87. I am pretty sure the plastic I used was 86. it was a few year s ago and I only had the quad for a short time.
