Guys. just got a horrible call of my mum. shes a real cat lover and has 4 cats herself. well one of our cats parsley climbed in to my dads engine and must have got cosy and went to sleep. well he went to go out and half way up the road there was a bang and he got out and she dropped from the engine. shes a real mess! my mums distraught and my dad is bad too! what a horrible way to die! i hope they dont blame themselves! its cold out and as cats do they try to find somewhere warm! she was around 7-9 years old but was a small cat like a 2 year old. she was the cutest petit little thing. white and turqoiuse and brown colour! damn! im gutted. we all loose something in life but its horrible when your parents are upset! thought id tell the board to get it of my chest as i feel gutted inside! :( :(

Sorry to hear about that. I remeber my uncle tellin me one time in his log truck he went to start it up and let it warm up and his cat was sleepin next to the fan, anyways the fan kicked on and you probably know how the rest goes. So your not alone.

Just burry her deep. Just burry her deep and pack the dirt on real good. We have had to burry small animals in the woods behind the barn and have yet to have anything dig them up. We put them about three feet down and pack it on there good and tight. Nothing can smell it then.

thanks! i insitsted on a cat coffin but they wont have it. just want to let her rest in her black bag. just decompose slowly.

i said to my mum i doubt the cat felt any pain it probaly happened so quick! she blames her self for going shopping and then kicking the cats out when she come back with the shopping and because its cold and the engine was warm she hid! shes just in shock! nothing a box of chocs and flowers wont do! think of the good times!

I know how you all feel. I felt the same way when the cat I had since I was a child died. She was 13 tears old and I had her since she was a new born.

Years ago, my uncle had one of his cats go through the fan belt on his truck when he started it. One of the rear legs close to the body went through the pulley and threw the belt off. The cat lost a lot of hair and was in bad shape for a while but lived a long time after. He said he never saw a cat run so fast!

my friends cat got shredded by the fan on a big suburban, when my dad was a kid his cat got burned by the radiator, jumped down and got hit, the cats eye popped out and it was twitchin. they had to drown it, probably a stomp woulda done him through better.

Very sorry about your cat. I have 4 cats, 2 from the ex wife and 2 from the ex fiance' - guess the cats are the only ones to stay true...... Anyhow, I have a runt myself and if anything ever happened to her I'd die. 2 of them sleep with me everynight and 1 eats out of her paw and not her mouth. I truly enjoy the company and they definately got me through some very crappy times in my life.

You guys that think dogs are the best have my respect, please do the same for the cat lovers.

Finally, a man not afraid to openly care about his cats. That shows maturity, not like the idiots that think it is funny when one dies.

i dont find it funny when one dies (if thats what you are trying to say) i have two of my own cats that im fond of, i just wouldnt find it as tragic and accident as if one of our dogs got hit.

My sister-in-law lost one of her cats under the hood a few years back. I never understood why they would blow the car horn before they started the car. After I heard the story it makes perfect sense. Sorry for your loss raptor.
