OK, someone has to do it, and since i work with the mechanics in a local cycle salvage, i get first dibs on stuff that comes in, and real cheap parts too, so heres what i am looking at right now:

Dirt bike frame, probaly a honda
200X swingarm
200X axle, hubs, sproket, disc and caliper
250R triple trees and forks
not sure on a gas tank yet, or a motor

now, my questions for you guys are:
plastics, what should i use??
gas tank??
Motor, guy that works with me built a whole frame and dropped a 440 rotax sled engine in it, but it ripped apart, so i dont want to do that, i am thinking maybe a 250R motor, or a 200X motor

Remeber, this is a proto type thing, if it works out great, then i will build another one and have a sled engine in it

I would say take a cr 250 or any other 250 motocross bike and use the motor and frame from that. Those newer 250's make a lot more horsepower than the atc 250r. Keep us updated.

i say use a newer cr250 chassis, and just throw the plastic, radiators and front end and rear end(maybe 400ex) of a later model atc250r onto the bike...just make sure you are good friends with an owner of a TIG welder...
