they have a main and centrifugal clutch. the main is the fiber and metal plates in the basket and the centrifugal is three shoes inside a little drum. try adjusting it.
the are available at www.denniskirk.com and a lot of other sites probly.

To do that, loosen up the 12mm lock nut that is on the right side engine cover. Then turn the screw that is inside the nut counterclockwise until you feel a little resistance then turn it clockwise 1/4 of a turn. Now tighten up the locknut but make sure the screw does not turn.

actually you are supposed to go in one round clockwise then come out counterclockwise until you feel resistance.
but i guess with it way out of wack it will make no difference.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but turning screw clockwise 1 turn lusens everything so when you go back 1/4 turn counterclockwise you'd still be 3/4 loose, he sais he did it and it worked perfect? What up with its way out of wack it make no difference. LOL. read first. I bet we can both set clutches but can't explain how to do it with out getting confused. LOL.

no go in 1 round clock wise.
then turn it counter clock wise until you feel resistance.
turn it in clockwise 1/8 round and lock the locknut
thats what my clymer says. (its a 110 manual but i dont think it makes a diff)

Same thing as what I originally posted then. LOL. We'll have evryonre confused.

The only difference of mine to your clymer manual is I take for granted your clutch is loose that why you are adjusting it in the first place, and just start going counterclockwise till I feel resistance then back off 1/4 instead of 1/8. Same thing LOL. I guess yours is for checking clutch, then setting. My instructions are just for loose clutch questions.
