What do you think???? This is my '83 250R. This was a 3 month complete tear-down. Powder coated, SS cap head allens for almost every fastener. Motor was a 300, back to the 250 until I can get the rebuild parts, ported, DG pipe not in the photo, Oh yea, the plastic tank scoops that were rotton and falling off... patterned new ones from aluminum formed into shape and painted black. I was thinking of building several sets... not sure yet. The photo 2 years old. Somethings have changed sence the photo.

Anyway this is ONE of my projects that I finished 2 years ago. I'll get a list of the mods together .

I'll try and get some pics of my other projects posted soon, '85 T3 total tear-down and redo with inverted forks ( every bit the attention to detail as my '83 R), a YZT-426 (YZF 426 trike) This one is 70% of the way there, a ATC 500R, looks like my '83 R same colors, its at 50% need the time to finish some fabracation, and others.

Is it just me or in that second pic it looks like there are no more rear fenders. I've always wonder why people cut them off. It really doesn't make much sense to me. Kind of defeats the whole purpose doesn't it.

I'm sure it's off for reasons of working on it and for us to veiw the detail.

I like, I like, I like! Hard to tell what color that frame is and what brand tires are those? They look like good all around, do any thing tires. The rear sub frame (if it has a seperate sub portion) looks aluminum but the rest looks like a gray-white sort of.

The black looks very tasteful and the tank sticker looks sweet against it.

Nice job buddy!

AWESOME choice on color and design (baja look?).
That has to be one of the most outstanding air-coolers out there.
GREAT job!

I've always had the urge to build an air-cooler.
Seeing yours makes me want to do it even more! :D

The guy has good taste. Looks like a sweet machine put together by a dedicated builder. The rear tires are Bandits and the front looks like it's the stock Titan tire from a Polaris Trailboss.

Light are 55 wat halogens from Pro-comp. They wired in to the stock wiring pretty easy. With the light switch on low only one light comes on when the switch is on high both come on. I did have it on e-bay when I was selling the Maier DULL plastic. I replaced the dull plastic with the newer shinney plastic. The rear tire are 20" Bandits, front is AT489 23 x 8 x 11. Wheels ar douglas red labels. The axle is a Durablue +4". Frame and swinger is powder coated aluminum, pegs and smaller items powder coated 90% black. The tank I did in nitro-proof RC paint and cleared it with the same. Every bearing is new. New fasteners.

I'l get some better photo's. I also need to figure out how to post larger than 300 x 300, or e-mail the phot's to anyone that wants them.

I'm curious as to how you got 85-86 rear fenders on that air-cooler. Also where the black seat cover came from.

The front is an '85 and bolt right on, same mounting holes. The rears are '83. Seat can from Hi Flite, '83 cover w/ '85 artwork.
