I'm possibly exploring the aftermarket shock options I have with the Tri-Z. I do know the Warrior, and Banshee ones will fit. Does the Raptor one as well? My main concern is that the bushings are the same size and not different. Has anyone checked them (Raptor shocks) out? I can't afford a new one at $500+, So I have to go with whatever comes around and will work for me :p

I don't think you want to use the banshee shock it has the the piggy back ressi. The 01 raptor shock will work.

Ok, thats good. That means I can use an aftermarket one then too more then likely as long as the resivoir is remote. Thanks.

i banshee WILL work.. if you remove the fuel tank and put one up at the airbox , a 01 craptor is the only year to work, 2 inches more bolt hole to bolt hole, all other years have the banshee style resi on the shock

Yeah Bill, you'll hole that gas tank in a hurry with anything but an early '87 non-piggy back Banshee shock. I would just go the warrior route - there are thousands of them out there, inexpensive too.

I'm not gonna put an OEM one on. It'll either be a works, Pep, Elka, ect. All of those have the resivoirs remote. I just wanted to make sure that the mounting holes were the same diameter and stuff. That was my main concern.

Alright, my last question is what is the length of the stock Z shock, does anyone know? Or the warrior one too I guess. I've got my eye on an aftermarket shock that is reasonable and before I buy it I just want to make sure it will work ok with my Z.
the 01 craptor shock will work, it gives you an extra 2" of height, mywifeknowseverything had a shock made by marvin shaw to the 01 craptor specs and use's on his Z, it cost him 225$ shipped to his door.....www.marvinshawshocks.com .......good stuff from what i hear, i talked to him and he knows his stuff!
