Hey guy, it looks to be an 83 or 84 model. The 85 and up models featured red/white/blue plastics.

Easiest way to tell a 83 from an 84 is to look at the swinger... 83 is a "tube" swinger, 84-85 is a "square" swinger. 85 were red, but had blue seat with 200X on the side of it. A;so think the fork boots were different too. Lower forks were alum not painted black.
It has the Hondaline front fender brace (basically unnecessary unless you have a fender extender :D ) and the optional Chevron tires which are kinda cool. You always see them in the Hondaline catalog, but I've never seen them on an actual trike.
If it runs, $500 isn't a bad price at all.. Go buy it already!

The guy said just needs ............. I heard that before :D
Did you inspect it well up close? What's broke on it, anything?
Honestly a picture that far away, anything looks good. That 500 can turn into a lot more very quickly.
I couldn't give you an opinion till you know more detail and better pictures.
How about some close ups?
Make sure you stand it up and check the underside also.
