I'm 6' and could easyly fit in my fl350 so you shouldn't have to much of a problem. They are made for an adult. The ride isn't to bad in the 350 and the 400 is newer so should be even better. The 350 has great acceleration, and probably tops out at about 50 or so. A suspension upgrade and a better clutch make these machines alot more rider friendly. The turning radius could be alot better, its a good thing they have reverse. The pilot is more sought after and holds its value a little better so if you can find one for a fair price its a good investment. Here's a couple odyssey forums with alot of information.

I was fine in my '85 FL350 and I'm 6'1". Like has been said before, Mine topped out at about 50mph. Acceleration was ok, but not impressive - my '96 Polaris 400L Sport was much quicker bone stock as I recall. The turning radious is truely horrendous though - if you ride in the woods, you will be miserable.

Well I have a fl350 and I agree turning sucks and is a little under powered for my taste thinking about putting 600cc polaris triple in there will help with turns and not short on power hehe hate to cut or modify this machine as it is 100% origanal and thats getting hard to find

I have owned the Ody and currently own an 89 Pilot. Do not waste your time or money on the Ody. You will have to put at least $1k worth of shocks in it to make it ride good. The Pilots are way better in the power and ride area. Plus they are liquid cooled. Go check out www.pilotodyssey.com
