Pullcord

My pullcord on my Honda 200s stopped going back in so its stuck out. It broke once before so we took it apart, wount the spring up tight, put it back together and it worked but just barely. Now its to the point where it wont work at all. Should I just rewind the spring?

I'm willing to bet that the spring is broken at some spot and you can wind it, but as soon as you pull on it hard it slips.

open it up again and check to make sure both ends of the spring are hooked on their rightful spot. the tabs tend to break.. you can just bend the spring and hook it back up if it's not broken directly in the middle !!!
