Man i e-mailed the person telling them i knew it was a scam and he e-mailed me back that he still wanted my info. He sure has a lot of nerve. Now i have to pay to list it again and probably another final value fee. All because of this jerk.

You would be a fool to pay it. File a dispute w/ebay and explain to them that FRAUD has occurred. The key word is FRAUD. When this word is used companies listen to you very closly. So present your case well and you will not have to pay anything. As long as you are a honest person you should not have a problem. Happy hunting.

in my company we have scams from africa every week.....this was the last one....
had a email from a guy saying he was from the States and wanted to order ...no problem..but then said that the delivery address was in the Congo(africa) still okay if they paid with a credit card......card payment went through okay....but i thought there was something alittle strange.....so i did some checking....turnes out that the address in the States was bogus also the US company was bogus(the factory unit was'nt even built yet!!)
so i tryed to find the company in the congo...they are also bogus....so where the scam???
well i phone the card company to see what the terms where.....and guest what they told me that the card payment(without the cardholder present) could be dragged back up to 6 months after the payment was first paid.....so we would have sent the goods and he would just drag payment back at a later date.....did any of you know this?????also the card company which is a large US corp. told me this happens evey day of evey week...and there all from africa.....

What is it with all these scams from africa? Is no one original anymore? Like they can afford a 3 weeler from a country that shows their people starving to death on tv and then you have sally struthers eating a yummy strawberry filled powder sugar coated donut with chocolate sprinkles right in front of them.

They ain't all starving.
Every week I get an email from a senior bureaucrat in an African government offering me millions of dollars if I will only forward him my bank account number so he can put money in it in order to smuggle money out of the country.

Yes, definately a Nigerian scam. The whole point of this has nothing to do with getting the item they "buy"...but a money transfer.

They have counterfeit check equipment, and can make a very authentic looking cashier's check. Say the item sells for $3000...they will make the check out for $8,000, say you can keep $5,000 if you send them back another form of cashable payment for the leftover funds.

As retarded as this sounds, alot of people fall for it.

They usually target low feedback ebay accounts with items listed at over $1500.

You can report the guy to ebay for fraud. Just copy and paste in the email you got from the scammer, and ebay will suspend the account.

Then file "Report an Unpaid Item" on the sold section of your "My Ebay" page and select "Buyer is No Longer Registered on Ebay" and you will be refunded the fee ebay has charged you for the fraud sale.

They are also Nigerians. They just say they are in california to sucker you out of your cash. Really, what DO they do for you anyways? Do they sell your stuff? Do they send their muscle to collect for you if the buyer doesnt pay? Do they harrass the buyer in any way other than a slap on the wrist suspension? Do they take the buyer to court on your behalf? No, they don't. They will however say: 'Its not our fault' faster than my ex can spend a dollar at the mall.
