I put a lrd 310 pv on my 250r yesterday, did 2 break-in cylces and rode it up the driveway after the second, the bike stood straight up all the way!!!! and that wasn't even half throttle, I gotta richen the needle and then I can figure out the main that I need. I'm using a 182 now, 55 pilot and I don't remember what needle. I'm gonna put in the needle I used with my 330 kit.

and aslo I should add, that lrd did a great job in accomidating it for the atc, the head has the spark plug like it is stock, not like many where the plug comes straight out of the center, you know and the frame rail is right there.

Alright! I have been waiting for this post Deathman. How is it? I can't wait to get one. How does it compare to stock and the 330?

I'll be able to tell you when I got riding and finish break-in. I was using a stock ported and decked cylinder for awhile. The 330 kit was all low end and a torque monster, revved slow, the stock cylinder is the opposite(atleast my ported one) all mid to top, so I'm told this 310pv is low, mid and top, focussing on mid and with the powervalve there is less of a hit and thus more controllable power. By the way, the 330 is no longer for sale, I lost the piston somewhere in my garge.

That is a great descriptive reply. That is exactly what I want. I want the revability and topend of a 250. I knew a 330 would be to slow to rev and not responsive as I would want. The 310 sounds perfect and I love the type of power that you described about it. Break it in, I can't wait!

by the way, also I just put a +1 lsr swinger on the bike tonight and a new lsr axle is getting put on. I need a chain, banchee chain guide, 87-89 brake mount bushing, grease for my grease gun to finish it. Oh well, no trike riding for me this weekend, probably will ride the quad.

Did you get the +4 LSR axle? That is what I have and love it. I hope you get it running soon.

what exactly is a powervalve, i know its for 2 strokes. what does it do, what is it?

I always had a +4 lsr axle, but I put a new one(other one is slighlty bent) and I can use a spare axle. It runs awesome, haven't ran it on the track yet. A powervalve changes the exhaust port size and timing fooling the cylinder abit, you can port it for extreme top end and the cylinder will still make low and mid power. I'm told you can let it go in 3rd to nearly a stall, and then hit the gas(no cluth) and it is running on powerband, no bogs, no cluthing, also it makes kinda raw power its not so pipey.

You paid $2k for that kit right? What all did it come with for that?

ported cylinder, long stud kit, gaskets, coated piston, head(also the spark plug is like how it comes out stock, resolves the clearance issue with the aftermarket heads), accond nuts, o-rings, spark plug, spacer plate, 2 base gaskets. they recomend a 38 a/s carb and a decent pipe and also good reeds.
