carb rebuild kits

I was looking though ebay and i only found a bunch of 85 250r at carb kits and no 86 kits. are the kits for the 85 and 86 the same even tho the 85 is a round slide and the 86 is a flat slide carb?

Yes, except the main jet for the 85 is 142 while the 86 is 145.

Check out a Honda shop. They should be able to get the 85 or 86 Moose carb rebuild kit of around $16 without the additional shipping charge.

Buy a couple. :D

When do we know if a carb needs to be rebuilt?

I know --- for $16 why do I bother with the question...
