I am trying to get the kick starter off of my 84 T3 but I cant get it to budge. I took the nut off of the shaft and tried wiggling it but no results. I used penetrating oil, engine oil, about everything I could think of besides heaing it up. I didn't want to do that since i have the tank on it and the carb is full of gas and all of the fumes. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I had the same problem, I stuck a srewdriver in there and spread it as much as possible then it wiggled off.

if you can and wouldnt mind posting some pictures of that would be nice. because there should be a small gap that will fit a screwdriver right where the bolt rund through the kick starter should wiggle loose.

wrong part, I was thinking of the Gear Shifter. Hmm that is way weird, either its Tack welded real small or you misseed something. Check out http://www.buykawasaki.com/Default.asp?
Under Owner Info Pick Parts Diagrams. This site came in handy many times when I redid the Tecate. Has diagrams and even Part #'s
For all the parts diagrams. I attached a diagram in case you might be missing something. Or make a Puller to pull it off the shaft. Im sure you can rig up something to pop it off.

Meatbox, that site is going to come in very handy since I don't have a service maual yet. I still cant get the kick sarter off of the shaft. I have heated it up, used penetrating oil, All sorts off things. I think I am going to use you suggestion of makeing a puller of some kind. I actually got the side cover off but the whole kickstart assembly came with it. I will keep you posted on what I find out or what happens with it.
