I hate to part with any 3 wheeler, but I have a dilema....
My wife is on me to get rid of one of trikes, my 85 350X or the 85 250SX....
Both are in great shape. I prefer mud and trail riding over sand dunes. Can I set up the X to be a mud trike, cause the SX seems to be easier to go in the mud with. Anyhow, I have a buyer for the SX but not for the X and I am torn up about selling the SX but hate to see the X go either.
what do you guys think? I need someone to convince me it's ok to sell the SX...lol

Don't sell the SX.
Put your left nut on e-bay if you have to.
But on the serious side.. wich one do you ride the least ? Seat time.

I got the perfect solution! Keep both and sell the wife!
OK, being serious and to answer your ? I need to know what tires you are running on both. Choice of tires can make an extreme difference in the mudding capability.

Well, had I not bent the forks on the SX and had it sitting up for 1 month, I would have said, no problem, sell the X.......but while I was waiting for the forks on the SX, I really developed a love for the X....I am finally used to the handling and the power and I love it, but I haven't gone on the mud trails with it like I did with the SX mainly cause the tires are just some trail pros....I love the way my SX handles the mud with the Bear Claws
Hence I am torn.....lol
Before the bent forks....I definately rode the SX more, but now, I ride the X more.....

You better keep the 350 because if you get rid of it how will you be able to keep up with me. LOL Well I guess you could catch me in 4th since I dont have a 5th gear

Get rid of the SX.... tell the wife you got rid of it.... then hand her the keys to it on your next Anniversary or on her birthday! :naughty: Say... "Here you go! You got your OWN trike to ride with me!"
The family that trikes together, stays together! :beer

Now that's an idea.......But what do I do when she wants the money from the sell....lol
Plus, she wont want the trike without a carseat (3 kids under 3)....lol
Thanks for the advice....but I know what I am going to do, I have a serious buyer for the SX and I have a set price of $1400 with the Bear Claws or $1300 with out....The Claws are brand new and cost on them was $115.00, so it will be the buyers choice...
If he doesnt want it, I'll keep it and keep trying to sell the X....That way I dont have to decide which one goes......lol

Chains and mud don't mix well.
I personally would not want to jump into alot of mud holes with a chain drive machine.. but in my area you have to mud or you basically don't leave your driveway !!
If only the SX had a 6th gear !!

Exactly, if it had a 6th gear....it would be a no brainer!!!
It's pretty muddy here in Southern Louisiana, where are you located, Bigredhead?
