What differances are there in the motors between years?
And can a light be put on these, on the motor I have theres the wires to plug in to the coil, then there is a square white plug with 3 wires and a rubber boot over it, what is it for?

the motors are all mostly the same there were three and four speed transmissions the pull starters were different on some years too,,
there are lighting coils in them 70's too thats what the white plug is tooo just have to figure them out too,,, they will run decent lights too

Im almost positive the 70 had a 6V system, and the 110 had a 12v system. If you use 6v system on a 12v lamp, it will work but be very dim. If you apply 12v to a 6v lamp, it will usually blow the first time you rev it.

Tim Sr is correct. How ever the 1980 and older 90-110's used a 6 volt sytem so if you get one of them ( The round ones ) you will be fine.
I am working on a project 70 and am going to put lights on it also. I am opting for a 350x headlight assembly. The bulbs from the old 90-110's will fit right in with no modifications. I think a atc70 with a 350x headlight set up would look cool!!
