As bad as I wanted to go.... Im not going to be able to make it. I had been planning with the rest of MWT, to make a group effort to make the trip for a good 10 months now. I knew far in advance that the gas prices were gonna be high this summer, and to account for that, 2 vehicles.. 1 hauling the machines, and a van following with the jockeys it would be very cheap per person to make it. The numbers I came up with, $50-$60 per person round trip. Now no one else is going to go, and it would cost me just over $500 for gas alone, and upwards of $1000 for the whole trip. A big difference from $150 for a whole trip if 6 people at the least were to ride up together.
Well enough crying,.. just keep in mind I wanted to be there frikin bad this year man!!

I missed riding with you down at LS last summer. It will totally suck if it happens again. Try to find a few others to join up with. (BTW, I spent around $300 in gas for last year's trip to LS, OK) ;)

... Hey Bump - what day are you heading out to Haspen?.

Still gotta work out the details with the others. I took the whole week off, so I can go anytime. I want to get there as soon as I can. The other guys can't leave until Weds, so that will have to do.

You?

Nah, aint gonna happen man. IRS got into me again this year, so the few hopes I had left of going, are gone.
Im gonna try hard to make it in 06 though, and have learned not to plan my trip around other people. Im just gonna do it myself, things go better that way. By then I should have at least 1, if not 2 little fun projects to show off ;)

I'm sorry to hear you all think we're "Bitches" because we can't make the trip to Haspin. You shouldn't be so condemning and condescending when you have NO CLUE what's going on in our lives...and yes, some of us DO have lives outside of 3-wheeling. I've recently started a new job, and plain and simple, I can't take the time off or I get FIRED!!! If all you fine folks are willing to pitch in and feed my family, pay my mortgage, etc., I'll be more than happy to take the time off, lose my job, and have a blast riding with all of you.

Unless your taking the scenic route that will work.. lol Our paths dont cross on the way to TK05. I made a post on both here and .org for others that might be my direction at all... but no one posted. So as far as I know, no one west of Haspin is going.. if they are they dont wanna meet up and car pool with me.

The Midwest Trikers Summer ride is allready planned, so Ill just wait till 2006 and see if I can make it then.

Hey Chain,

It looks like me and a few others from the St. Louis area may be going. I will know 100% by next week. If so we could meet up here and pool the rest of the way.

My plans w/ my Pilot group for LS fell through this spring so I kinda understand.

If we go and it's possible to help you get out there we would be more than happy to help out. :0)

PS, I don't think you are a "BlTCH"...maybe ugly and slow, but NO WAY a BlTCH! :p

BTW, I am going to try to make it back down to Little Sahara within the next couple years. Not gonna happen THIS year, but maybe 06. I actually want to ride more than 20 minutes.
