my buddy just bought a tri-z two weeks ago and it came with a DG pipe and weisco piston and rings to umph the power a little. but the other day it blew the gasket that is between the crankcase and the whole head (base or headgasket which ever * want to call it). so we went to the dealer and got another one that they had in stock. we replaced it and it ran great. then it started blowing off the hose that is on the bottom off the head causing it to stall out. it did that a few times then today the head gasket blew again.
whys it keep doind that? does it have to much compretion? the gasket is cardboard like and cost $7.00. is there a metal one he can get? we havent checked the hose yet but if that is cloged would that cause it?

That hose runs the fuel pump. You need it hooked. Mine use to bloe off all the time so i bought a new elbow peice. The old one was worn out and loose.

My gasket is like paper too. I have never seen a metal one before but who knows.

get yellow 3M gasket adhesive from somewheres like NAPA. Its really sticky like silicone but use just enough to coat one (Or both sides I guess...) of the gasket and it will be held in place alot better.

well we found out today why it blew out again. the nuts that hold the headon were so lose you could losen them by hand.
