I bought this yt 125 last fall and have had a cut out under load since. I've been through the carb top to bottom and it still feels as though it's running out of gas once it's in gear and moving. When it's in neutral it revs and runs great. Put it in gear and it revs up and down as though it were out of gas. Low end throttle is good, mid range starts to fall off, top end falls right flat. There is a slight head gasket leak, could this possibly cause the problem?

Pull the plug(s) on the exhaust pipe, and try it. When I bought my YT175, I about pulled my hair out before I figured out the pipe was plugged. Very similar symptoms.

Check the wires going into the engine down by the pull start some times they rubb and and get the covering worn off and get bare then short out at high speed mine did this also. Or could it be that there is something behind the pilot jet? Had a mouse turd get sucked through mine and it got trapped in the carb cleaned it a thousand times till i found it. Also check compression if its real low it could be it too.

exhaust checks out, carb checks out, wiring checks out, waiting to get my compression tester back from my buddy. What should be a safe compression, 100?
