do any of you know the proper torque specs. for the 87 head to cylinder bolts?

26 - 30 n.m. or 19 - 21.5 lb.ft. hope that helps.

thanks, i keep blowing head gaskets, planned head, and cylinder, normal water temp, and i use oem $50 headgasket, and it is put on the right way, (small holes in the front)

has the cylinder ever been sleaved? if it has who ever did it could have bored it to big and the sleave is moving. or its to long. when you torque it down the sleave hits the case and is pushed up above the cylinder and then the head can't seal right.

i didn't see that you have an 87. 1 less stud. thats could be why. they sell an upgrade kit for bigger studs.

i have the east coast atv installed, bigger stud update kit.i will o ring it the next it blows, the bore is 87.5, 1.5mm over

If you can't fix it right just part it out!!
