I'm having a case saver made for my 85' 200x. The guy needs the distance between the front sprocket and the engine case (for a spacer). I cannot do this myself because unfortunatly my motor is...well lets just say "out of state" Can some one please post the distance inbetween for me. Thanks in advance.

Oh, sorry Chris...... I forgot but of course I couldn't measure anyway.

Knowing that the sprocket isn't on the shaft in that picture it might not be centered perfect but if it is doesn't it look a hair too close to the teeth?

I'm sure he would of tested the clearence though, I guess?

i'm going by eye. it does look kind of close in the picture. once i get it done i will send it to him to make sure it fits. if it doesn't he can send it back to me so i can open it up.

Just by guessing I would say a half or three quarters of an inch maybe. Anyone?

I assume they are spacer collars that go on the bolts.

If so, why don't you just have 2 longer ones then you need sent and you can cut them down to perfection.

I do know that on a 200S it is only 1/8" to the inner surface of sprocket and i'll bet yours is close to the same.

Judging from your picture Gary it looks closer than a half inch. I guess I couldn't really tell by trying to remember how close mine was. Being that the end of the shaft is mangled. Here's a pic of what sblt500 is drawing up so far. I think it's gonna work out pretty good. That is if this trike ever decides to run! lol

thanks. just got to finish cleaning it up and make some spacers. and add some stainless steel allen cap bolts, and it will be all set.

i make alot of quadracer aluminum parts. like case savers, oil caps, rear brake torque links. i can make a case saver for any bike if i have a pattern, or a case. i,ve been trying to make an aluminum air box for the quadracers but haven't had the time. i'm also going to try and make a grill for an lt250r. i know its mostly 4 wheeler stuff but i haven't been able to get a hold of a 3 wheeler yet. i've been looking for a tecate or a tri z. oh i can make skids too.
