ok..this is actually quite simple...first..take off your cdi atthe top of the engine..the cover bottom all of it..next unscrew the timing hole on the flywheel cover...turn it over till its on the "t" mark...now..make sure your cam is upside down..looking at a map north up souith down..the little pin should be north west with the bolt hole straight up with the little arrow on the top of the valve cover...you will prolyl have to take out the bolts that hold the cam gear to the camshaft...take out your cam chain tensioner right to the south east side of your cdi unit...this will help you get it exactly right..now wit the cam lobes down (little pin north west) you need to get the cam chain on the cam gear...make sure you dont move the cylinder..btw it usually goes faster if you take out the spark plug...ok..with the piston at top dead center...alligned with the t mark on the flywheel and the cam set right...put the cam cahin on the gear..with the little circle straight up with the cam hole...once you get the cahin on you usually need to make some adjustments on it..its usually 1 or 2 teeth off..just lift up and turn but dont turn the engine..just the gear...when you get it on right put the cam gear back on the cam out your cam chain tensioner bolt back in and put it all back together...hope this helps!
