havent visited the forum in a little while, just wanted to drop in and say hello.
the 200x has been runnin good,
I have always wanted to try out smaller flat track
style rear tires, I finaly got an extra set of rims with 18" turf tamers on them.
WHAT A BLAST ! the ground clearance really suffers & without re-gearing you
loose some top speed But the thing handles soo much better (& it wasnt bad before!)
tight trail riding & sliding corners on the fire roads is fun again!
Dammit!

Try 14/37 gearing. Works great with 18's if you have a few mods for a little extra power.

I definately plan on it, I bent my axle slightly on the last riding trip so while I have
that apart I will try a smaller sprocket back there. with stock gearing I find myself
wide open in 5th looking for another gear,
-nice trikes by the way, looks like you really keep them up!

i got a set of 18 inch turf tamers on my 84 250r and that thing is just awesome around corners, and handles way the heck better, i have had no problems with trying to find another gear in 5th gear.

I think that you might need a new front tire. Great looking X though.

thanks, the atc was wrecked bad when I got it a few years augo; the factory light and fenders were all busted up so I kinda just started making stuff for it before
I discovered e-bay. I added a pipe ,wiseco 10.25/1 , k&N filter , and jetted it.
you all know the 200's are'nt the fastest thing out there but can be a hell of a
lot of fun all the same, sure do stand up to a beating too...
As you can see the front tire is out of place with the new 18's (I have 22" rear mud tires that match it). I would like to try something else in front, what advantage do the skinny front's tires have? less rolling resistance ?
what do you all prefer?

Yep, I believe that's how it works. I would also like to see some more pics of the 200x. What year is it? What is that headlight off of originally?

If I remember correctly the front is 23.5x8x11 stock. I've only seen a couple manufactures that still make them. i think the stock ohastu ones are still available as well. I found a cheng **** in stock size for $45.
One thing I can tell you is that they are probably alot lighter than that mud tire your runnin.
