Got some Q's...on yamaha 225 dx

I just got an 85 yamaha 225 dx, and was just wonderin if anyone on here has one and is familiar with them. Im having trouble with it idleing, it runs fine and really strong it just wont idle. Theres no adjustments on the carborator for it, im thinking the only adjustment is on the throttle. I also wanted to know if its a 6 volt power supply or 12 volt.

Used to own one. Fun trikes!. Welcome to the forums man. This should be posted in Trikelsyvania though... Anyway there should be an idle anjustment screw somewhere, I'm almost positive they have one. Maybe you need to clean the crud off (and out of) your carb? 12V system.

Yea, i had the carb all apart soaked it for 2 days. It came out spotless. I dont know man, its got me puzzled.Ive checked every inch of the carb and theres nothing except that one screw with the spring on it, and that dosent really do much when adjusted. I cant be mad tho i got the trike for free and i rode it home. Thanks for the welcome too...

I think you should try and clean the carb again. I'm betting you have debris in your pilot jet. Soak it and blow it out with compressed air.

that screw with a spring on it is the idle screw. screw in to increase idle speed and turn out to decrease idle speed.

thanks guys...im definately gonna take the carb apart again, i orderd some new parts for it.
