My winter find

First off I'd like to say hi too everyone here sence I'm new.

I found this 85R back in Feb for $1K. The guy I bought it from said he had a new left crank case put on after the chain flew off and cracked the old one. And sence it was at the shop he had them go throught the top end also. I can definetly tell he wasn't lieing. The left case is silver as the right is still factory black. And the gaskets between everything look pretty new. He threw in an extra set of rims for the back with tires that had seen better days but I'm not complaining. So I take it for a test run before I pay him. Was I in for a suprise. It ran like a scalded dog. It has some cosmetic problems but nothing to bad. So what do you guys think?

looks like my trikes twin!!! I got my 1985 R for free, mainly because it was my uncles and it had been sitting in the back of my grandfathers shed for 12 years!!! Mine was in worse cosmetic shape though. Only things I saved were the front fender and seat.

Well kid will be kids. And it just goes to show you why they are kids. I appriciate the + comment. I'll post more pic's after a few mods and clean it up. Off to find a FMF Silencer. Later

It didn't bother me with your post. Its the other post that fall off track. Some people might look at as post-whoring or as a point to see what the spoils of work can do to a new trike.
