my friend finished up restoring his 1977 honda cr125m elsinore today, after getting his motor rebuilt we put a new exhaust on, replaced his brakes, painted his fenders, put a brand new carb on it, and it runs great.. i love seeing these old machines running.

we ran in to one small problem during putting the carb on. the machine would rev up way too high.. after noticing a blown gasket where the gas/air is taken into the motor we had to pull the carb and when we unbolted the piece that holds the rubber sleeve to the motor the gasket had been folded over, i am guessing that when it was rebuilt the guy messed up. after that the bike ran beautifully.

just thought id post this up, it has been pretty fun getting this antique going again, do any of you know the value of a very good condition 1977 cr125m? he traded a lawnmower for it so hes makin off good with this.

there fun old bikes for just that old bikes lol, keep a stock of pistons for it, the old cr125m burns through alot of them...its prolly one of the most unreliable honda's i have ever seen haha cool bikes tho, get a pic!

my buddy has one and he needs a crank rebuild kit. do you happen to know where your friend got one if he rebuilt the crank? he's looked everywhere and he can't find one.
