ok i went out to get my 200 running. I cleaned the carb and put a new plug in it. it started after 4-5 pulls but it was running crappy. Then when I tried to start it again it wouldn't start for about 5-10 min. I was think this is because the timing is not set. Could that be the problem or waht else could it be?

have you tinkered with the timing ?
If it was ok before.. it should still be.
You had the carb apart to clean it so i would start with that........ does gas pour out the overflow ? is the choke stuck on ? good flow from the petcock?
is the plug wet or dry after not wanting to start ? ( pull it a few times and then pull the plug to check ).. if dry.. no gas.. if wet then flooded.
was the entire thing completely apart ? bowl ? air/fuel screw.. idle screw .. needle clip ?.....

OK I had the CDI off before . when I pull the plug it is wet and smells like gas. When I say running crappy it wont idle and I have to stay on the gas all the time or it will shut off.
are your floats set correctly? and the low speed air/fuel screw?

When you say CDI .. you do mean the metal cover on the cylinder head that says CDI on it with the rotor and what not ?
it goes 2 ways.. and one is wrong.
or the black plastic electrical thing ?

both the CDI cover on the head and the black plastic electrical thing
