My 250r seems to have an extended axle but im not sure what kind. who made them for this bike? I know its not a durable ,because it tapers down kind of like a stock axle does. Ive put it back to back against my friends 82 and mine is alot wider, plus I have the stock hubs and rims on it. Id like to get rid of those. Not to get off topic but, PM me if you are intersted.

A number of companies made extended axles for the early R's.... I have a couple aftermarket axles here... they are HD std length though. They were made by NASA (not the space agency!) They do not taper down either, but are advertized as a Heavy Duty axle. Doesn't seem like they did many "axle" shootouts in the old Dirt Wheels that I have seen.... you never know! If you get rid of those stock hubs and rims, let me know... get yourself some 300EX hubs... they give you about an extra inch each side and take the "standard" 4/110mm rims.
