I have a 84 200es for sale, it is all messed up, rear axel bent bad, no front bearings, but is fixable, runs and will dirve with straightened axel. Not haveing any bites on the sale, so I was thinking of makin something outa it. Like a go kart or sumthin. Can anyone see any uses for the parts off a 3 wheeler?

You see, I would fix it, but I"m completely broke, I'm in the hole about a grand. I bought a perfect condition 200es for $800. It was unbelievably perfect in everyway. Not a dintor scratch anywhere, everything worked, nto a problem at all. And on the second time out on it I got in a bad accident and bent the frame, broke the plastics, axel was wraped into the frame, rims broke and bent, tires are still ok(almost brand new), all the racks were badly bent, lights were trashed, brake levers broke off, handle bars wrapped around the gas tank, tank has huge dents in the sides now. $800 down the drain pretty much. Then I bought parts and used parts off my old 3 wheeler to fix this one. And all the money came form my parents. So I was just thinking of selling off everything I didnt need. but no one will buy it so now I was just wondering if I can make something outa it. It is fixable but is not worth it. there are no plastics left, it is parted together with 200s, 200e, and 200es parts. Its deffinetally not worth fixing up. So either I sell it make somthin outa it or its just gunna be junked.

Sorry to hear about that accident man, sounds like you're lucky that you lived through it! Please, don't make something else out of it, as that would be a waste. If your going to make something out of her, make a trike!!! Either that or part her out like I said before. Someone out there is always looking for parts. JMO

I'm 16, Yes I"m lucky to be here typing this right now. Wouldnt believe how well I got off. I want a fat cat soooo bad. But would bekinda hard to make. I think I'm gunna some how, buildit back into a trike. I wish it was chain drive then could just make a new rear end. I cant get the axel outa the rear end. I got the one outa my other one fine, just took off 2 nuts and slid it out, but the brake drum wont come off this. I've beat it, pounded on it, and thrown it to the ground, the drum wont come off. It has to come off for the axel to slide out. Any ideas.

Some more old 3 wheeler pics. These are from when it was my only 3 wheeler and I used it. This is the plow I made, IT works great, I just wish the 3 wheeler weighed more, I always loose traction, but always have the power. I still have the plow and will useit on my new 3 wheeler this winter.

Thanks. The good lookin one is a 200es. And yes, Its back together, thats why I have a junked 200es now, I put all the junked parts on it. It is lookin almost as good as those pics. just missing a brake handle, and the racks are still a little bent.
I take real pride in keeping my vehicles looking and running great. First thing I did when I got my new 200es, I washed it, wazed it, armeraled it, and paited the racks, pegs, shifter, and everythign that didnt look new. It broke my heart when I got in the accident. I had 2 full days of getting it perfect. And I drove my old 200es for a year and never had a huge accident like this, but after I get a new one it happens. It hurts, but I spent a bunch more money and its looking almost good as new now agian, just a nice ding in the side of the gastank still, but the paint is fine.

Ohhhhhhhhh... I thought you like totaled the good lookin one and then wanted to do whatever. You want to make the parts bikes into a go cart am i correct?
ross932c
06-11-2005, 06:21 PM
Yes, its confusing causethey are both 200es's. The crappy one is even crappier now because I took off a bunch fo parts to fix my good one. Now there is just a pileof parts that could make a 3 wheeler eventually, but would never be worth it. The good one is fixed up now and looking nice.

Man I would be PISSED if I wrecked that! You want to make it unique right? If so get a really cheap 200x rear and if you had the money put a 250r motor on it :naughty: but since you haven't got much money I say part it out.
ross932c
06-11-2005, 06:23 PM
But it was the good one I totaled. And was totaled for a while, but it is fixed up pretty good, but not perfect. Frame was bent in the accident, so it pulls to the left slightly now.
Side question, how fast does a 200es go? I clocked mine the other day and was pretty happy with teh results. Wanna know how fast they usually go.

Oh ok. I misunderstood you this whole thread LOL. Anyway, part it out, and is the frame in good shape? Do you ship to the US? LOL thanks.

For the speed, I'd say around 40mph

The frame off the old 200es is in fine shape exept for all the crap I added to it. I put on floor boards. I broke my foot one hitting a tree, then thought to myself FLOORBOARDS!!

lol, I wish it was geared higher, or had a 6th gear, because it revs out in 5th, and I have to let off slightly because it sounds like its over reving.

Sounds like he is talkin about speedometers unless they dont come stock on trucks and bikes anymore ;)

06-11-2005, 06:38 PM
My old 200es did about 45 mph. It had no muffler, or air filter, so it had no restrictions. but my new one goes faster and has a clogged up air filter (I"m getting a K&N) and it has a muffler. I dont get it. I'm thinking the guy who had it had to have done something to it.

06-11-2005, 06:39 PM
the 200es are chain drive right? if so it might have larger front and smaller rear sproket than what came on it stock. Change the sprokets (larger in from, smaller in back) even more and it will go even faster :naughty:
ross932c
06-11-2005, 06:42 PM
Nope they ae shaft drive. I like it, very little maintence. The 200e is chaindrive.

Oh when he said bikes i thought he meant dirtbikes. Where are you doing this testing at? I bet the neighbors love a trike riding right next to a truck down the street LOL.
ross932c
06-11-2005, 06:48 PM
lol, I live out in the country, all the neighbours hereget along great. I did the test on a paved road and gravel road. Paved road was slightly faster becasue the gravel was loose and I was slightly spinning.

MPH or KMH :wondering Kilometers in Canada. Easy mistake to make. :)
ross932c
06-12-2005, 08:54 AM
Its 50 MPH, 85 kmh. IT would be an easy mistake to make, luckely I didnt make it. I'm still impressed with this machine, everytime I get on it, I get places pretty quick now.
Although I live in Canada, I still like using the old systems, MPH, Inches. The good ol' systems.

My old 200 ES never went more than 75 km/h ish..... how much you weigh ? hahaha.. ( relates to another thread !! )
ross932c
06-15-2005, 05:06 PM
ya, I weigh about 130lb's. I also recognize 85 is slightly over 50 mph, I was just stating 50 because it is a easy rounded number. and I know it was close. The bike does 85 kmh tho whatever that is in mph. Actually more like 84 kph. sorta borderline.
