What kind of injuries did you sustain at Trikefest? I think I suffered the first one for the weekend when I rolled Mike’s Prairie over on top of me. I am still limping. What other kind of banged up and bruised riders went home a little soar?

Yeah thats a pretty funny story. Every year there is a "search and rescue" team set up to find a lost body or assist in finding guys that have strayed away from camp and is now dark. The funny part of this one is, Lonesometri-z did this on the first main night(wed night). We just got the camp set up and chillin when we heard the distress call, it was kinda cool driving around wondering..........where in the heck is that fool. Well Lonesome found his way down a 20-30ft gulley and didnt care to drive that sucker back out. We got him out and he was back to camp with just a slight limp.......lol.

The only other accident that may be close was the dude that rolled in the MX race. I'd really like to know if he turned out okay. I bet he had an Ohtsu tread pattern on his sternum. :( that had to suck, rolling your trike, it's piled on top of you and you look up and see a trike bearing down on you and it slams into your chest...It sucked that I was the slammer, but I am betting it was waaay worse being the slamee.

Hmm, lets see, I got a crapload of bruises on my leg from when I flipped it on the drag strip while drying the mud, luckily i landed on rocks. hah. I also have like bare meat showing on my ankle from that, the headpipe laid on my ankle and just burnt the skin right off. Besides that.. just the normal cuts, and some poison ivy.

Got blood under my one finger nail from it being smashed inbetween me and Scott while we were battling in the first moto. I think that happened in the whoops. Also jacked up my knees from casing the jumps on the track. Double, Double, Table, Tripple all in a row for a couple laps. Hard to even walk. Other then that I'm in fine shape!

Got some pain in the insteps from attempting a double about 3 or 4 times in practice before the MX races. Cased it every time. I suck. I need to pull my plastic and look for cracks in the frame again.

Here's an injury my brother sustained while trail riding up a steep hill on my Big Red-X with his girlfriend on the back. I told him those trails were not for two, but he did not listen. He rolled it back over on himself and her and had to kick it off of them. We were looking for Devil's Backbone, but never found it. The Big Red-X faired much better than he did!!!

That is what he gets for riding doubles. Some people.
nice looking burn LON.
The 4X4s had it hard out in the mud. Not because they couldn't get where you wanted to go but if you hit the same trail after the rain they changed A LOT!! We had 1 sportsman 500 roll down the backbone (not on its tires). 1 sportsman 500 hit an old track berm, hit bottom so hard the helmet flew off his head. 2 different sportsman 700s blow tires getting into DEEP ruts to fast. The Prarie got rolled HARD on Friday nite (think it might have been a drunk german, he had the road rash in the morning LOL) bent bars and bent front rack, all repaired now. The Rhyno blew out 2 tires on the backbone, playing too ruff. All damage to the ATVs left alot of sore, beat up and brused riders LOL.
CAN'T WAIT TO DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR!!!

No injuries, but after MXing the Mini Trike I felt like I was in a paint shaker for an hour or two.....
Jims tailbone was a little sore after being ejected from the front of my TRX..... Sorry Jim,, that damn German beer and Holics Burbon.. lol..

lol, Its a good thing no one got pictures of that. I saw the rut coming,I just didnt know how to jump off the front of a trx250r while its moving in the dark while holding a lantern.
Note to self- Always bring your own machine when you go campsite hopping with freaksfix and trikeaholic,,,,and stay away from the campsite where the older woman sits and reads her book alone by the fire. :)

Yes, do drinking injuries count? That's where all mine were sustained LMAO. Jacked up neck from the "comfortable chairs", some sort of permanent ink on my bald head, (thanks bruce) HAHA and my voice still isn't back as of Thursday  I think Hagen phrased it best. I asked him what machines he had been riding at trikefest this year, and he said "a few here and there, but these days I come to hang out with my friends and drink, we will stick to what we are best at :D" Next year we need to pitch in and see that Hagen can get a full sized keg of that bitburger shipped over, hard going back to bud or something after that.
