Hey folks,
I've officially added some yellow and black to the sea of Honda red in my garage.
It was an irresistible deal that fell in my lap after a friend bought the remaining stash of car parts that I said I'd "never sell....".
The pics are of the trike after a general bath (no "foo foo" or Armor All), all it had was a year's worth of barn dust on it.
This was the trike I rode before I bought my 350X last July.
And I was the last one to ride it since then!
Was it fate? :p
It sounds incredible and looks CLEAN and MEAN.
LOVE that "old school" yellow and black Yamaha look! :naughty:
I got a smokin' package deal on the trike and a BUNCH of used Z parts.
I haven't had a chance to ride it but one lap around my house.

I can't wait to get some seat time on it.
I heard the Z's are a pretty "plush" riding trike.

Sells a nice running 250R and picks up a choice Tri-Z a couple of weeks later! Now that's some wheeling and dealing. Will it be making an appearance at St. Joe in the near future? I could be up for a ride as soon as I rig up a thumb throttle for the Tecate. I might even be making a Glamis trip in July for some real sand action!

Hey Yardbird!
Believe me.....it took a LOT for me to break down and sell the car parts I sold to get this Z...I swore I'd never get rid of them but this Z was one of those deals that come along but once in a lifetime.
The car parts sale took care of the Tri-Z purchase.
I hated to see that 250R go but those funds went to pay my wife's dental bill.
Thank goodness that's taken care of!
It'll make an appearance at St. Joe the first chance I get.
Who knows when that'll be.

Welcome to the club!
I heard that Z's rode like a caddy too, but until my first ride I couldnt beleive it. Mine rides stiff and low right now because I blew a rear shock at TF, waiting on warrior replacement
Awesome trike, very clean looking. Love the chrome pipe. Treat her right, and she will treat you right...

Congrats- That is one sharp looking bumble Bee Z. Is that air filter cover (pseudo gas tank) really as shiny as it looks in the picture? You know i have a plastic fetish.
Dammit!

That means a lot coming from you, Orangecnty! :)
Yessir, that cover is that shiny AND I didn't use a drop of "foo-foo" (Armor All, etc.) anywhere on the trike.
What you see is what a garden hose, a bucket of soapy water and some quality time produced.
Speaking of plastic fetishes.....I'm tickled with the finish quality and shine those fenders have. They're the nicest fenders of any of the trikes I've owned!

Believe me....all my trikes lead a pampered life.
They DO get ridden but the moment they get home they're given a once-over a THOROUGH cleaning and polish.
Warrior rear shock? Awesome.
Is it an easy swap?

Stock replacement, bolts right in. Heres a helpful link I found awhile back-
Informative thread to what parts interchange- (http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/showthread.php?t=16277&highlight=tri)
and a thread about the warrior shock/handling and suspension-
thread on the handling and suspension (http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/showthread.php?t=29333&highlight=tri+Z%27s)
You will love that thing to death, hope those threads help.

I found a nice '86 today now I'm trying to resist the temptation to knock over a couple of convenience stores so I can go get it.

There you go! :p
A nice '86? Oh baby.
Yessir, I'd take that!
Dig through the couch cushions and drawers and see what you can scrounge up. :D
