85R ignition on a 83R engine

I have a 83R with a 300 kit and I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to put the ignition system from an 85 and later 250R on an aircooled R. If anyone has done it was it hard to make it work or was a plug and play type of deal. just testing the waters to see if it is a good ignition upgrade.

Hey man, it's not a common thing to do I'm sure, here's what I would do.
I would go to your local honda dealer and ask there HEAD MECHANIC about doing it. He as proubly taken apart so amny 250R engines it would make your head spin. That would be your best bet I think
