I FINALLY got working rear brakes on my 200x. It's like trying to find gold acquiring working rear brakes on these things. Anyway, I vacuum pumped the fluid through the lines to fill it up, and then I bled them a few times by hand. The pads are new, but the rotor is super old and grooved. Will the new pads wear into the rotor or should I buy a new one? I'll try and get pics tomorrow.

I would honestly buy a new rotor if you ave grooves... either way you're going to have to wait until the new pads bed into the rotor, and then you're brakes should work really well... Let me know if you need bedding instructions (Acquired from Brembo engineers). Good luck, James

Can an X rotor be machined/resurfaced ?

Good question, that would depend on the tolerance listed by Honda (minimum thickness) and whether a shop has an adapter plate...

If it's a cross drilled rotor of any kind i.e. for cars, trucks, trikes, dirt bikes there is no way to turn them (resurface them) the bits needed to turn the rotor will get cought in the cross drilled holes and snap. hope this helps

It's just not worth you trouble to try and reserface them. Just go to the honda dealer and oreder a new one. Believe me, saves you time, aggravation and later on down the road when the thing gives out... you come this far, don't just screw it up now.....

RMATV has them for $50. I've got one on my ex, it's been good to me.

damn, i might want to spend that on powder coating first. I dont really drive this, unless it's a quick zip around the small culdisack I work on at the end of the day. More of a project., either way it'll get done before it sees any real use.

If you think $50 is spendy, you better not look at OEM prices!
