I love any old car or truck and any muscle car! Heres my project: 1938 Nash Lafayette, she's rare, she's cool, and she's gonna scream when I'm done her!
I'm putting in a modded 4-bolt 350 smallblock, a custom exhaust, bucket seats, roll bar, and it is going to be gloss black with orange flames! Plans also include mustang 2 front end, 9 inch rear, and a 4-speed muncie. :D

I don't really want to rat rod it, I figure if I'm gonna do it (which is a definite go) I'm gonna do it right, but it will be real nice as the body is rock solid and the thing is like a tank, and its all there so I don't have to go on hopeless treasure hunts. As for the old truck, I don't plan on getting rid of her anytime soon! That machine has some growing to do! Shes gonna have about an 8 inch growth spurt by this time next year. Its gonna change from this: (2 weekends ago) to this: (A dude in Cali owns this 76 K20). But you totally need to build a street machine out of that 2 door to catch up with your buddies Z28!

Haha the only difference between that lifted K20 and mine is that his has a 396, fancy grille, wheels and winch and a Dana 60 rear. I got a Detroit 14 bolt rear, 350, cab clearance lights, stock bumpers, runningboards and mines a camper special which means I got a 8600lb gvw limit.

my dads got a few toys, he's got an '86 s10 shortbed ext cab with a worked 358(pushing 500hp) 3500 stall in the tranny and a 393 posi rear, an '87 2wd 2dr s10 blazer with a carbed lt1, an '80 monte carlo with a built 400 small block mated to a good ole 3 spd stick, a '75 corvette stingray L88 (dunno what that means??lol)a '82 vette coupe, we just got rid of a completley restored '72 2dr nova and a few years back we had a stretched t-bucket fram with a 1912 paddy wagon replica body on it with 350 and a big tunnel ram and all that on it and now we are working on a '40 chevy custom deluxe 4dr, we were going to put a 400 small block in it and try to make it period correct in a way but after we completly rebuilt the front suspension we started taking measurements we decided we would find another project for the 400 and we rebuilt a 265 inline 6 and dressed it up with a little chrome and put it down in there with a 700r4 trans and a 12 bolt 1/2 ton 4x4 truck rearend so we could keep the stock 6 lug bolt pattern to match the front

Well I have to say I have never owned a "muscle car" but I have always thought they are kinda cool. I have always had super fast cars using the technology instead of motor haha.

Here is my 1991 300ZX Twin Turbo I had a few years ago. It has 518 RWHP (dyno'd) and would do the 1/4 mile in 11 seconds flat @129.8mph. That sucker was stupid fast and pretty much a sleeper too hehe.

My dad owns 2 1970 Dodge Challengers a 1973 Plymouth Duster with the 340 a 34 Dodge coup that he some day hopes to stuff a 440 or 340 in and he owns a fully restored 1957 Nash Metropolitan and that thing is tiny. And for my self i own a 1971 Dodge Challenger. My dad just pulled the Duster in the garage to do a restore on and pretty soon here im going to pull my Challenger in the garage and stuff a 440 in it or maybe just put the original 318 in it with a 3 speed. And im also dealing on a 1975 Chevy Scottsdale with a 350 crate motor and a 4 speed. And my grandpa owns a 1958? Ford Thunderbird and 1967 fully restored Oldsmobile 442 and wow is that thing fast.

Took us over 5 years to finish this one. Every nut/bolt is either chromed, polished or plated. It isn't a garage queen. After a week or so (1400 miles) we loaded up the suitcases, coolers and stuff, headed out for NewJersey in a major rainstorm. This is 350xhilaration's inheritance!!!!

ALL are great rigs!

Long Isl. Mike.....
I must admit, I am NOT a chevy guy, but that is a nice truck. Well done :w00t:

250 sx WP-
Check out the Jetta in my sig-- TDI = Turbodiesel Direct Injection...running a chip, no muffler, and a custom cold air intake. And the best.....40 miles per gallon. I dont know why everyone doesn't have one.... 4 cylinders, lots of power (damn quick, actually), and great on fuel economy.

Scott ZJ-
When it's time to put pedal to pavement, that IS a muscle car. Running a flat 11 in the quarter....you can call that ANYTHING you want. :D

Nice rigs, boys,

Heres my 81 z28 ,oringed , 454 internally balanced, flowed brodix heads with 2.30 intakes 1.88 exhaust valves with stud girdles ,lunati roller cam, arp studded rods, JE superlite 7-1 pistons, 6-71 blower.(might be switching to a Mooneyham if i can find a rebuilder.) march pulleys, NX nitrous kit (not installed yet) and a bunch of other money taking goodies that I hate relisting cause it makes me sick to think of all the dough that went into it. Currently it is getting a fresh rebuild and new paint. it was sitting under a damn pine tree cause I blew the tranny. ive got to upgrade the cage, and possibly add a 4 link but im a little skeptical about it. Id have alot more trikes if it werent for this money pit. Quite the quarter mile car if you ask me. I mostly like going to cruise nights and local gatherings with it, a few races every 2 months maybe.

Why don't you wait and post if you have the pic or something of importance to say? I am getteing really sick of all of your meaningless posts. Lastnite I saw * made a comment about an atcphil thread that has been dead for 3 months. We dont need that kind of stuff on the front page.

Here's a pic of my baby, Its a 2000 Camaro SS, I bought it new in 2000 on my birthday, drove it for a few years and now store it in the garage. I take it out every once in a while, but trying to keep the miles off it to last forever... :p

Does this count as a hot rod? The cab is an 84 with a 92 front clip. It has a far from stock 429 Cobra jet with Dove C heads. Bolted to that is the strongest beefed up C6 I have ever installed, with a NP 205 T case. The rear generation two Sterling and front Dana 60 is stuffed with 4:10 gears and Detroit lockers. I used 1410 yokes and the biggest and strongest * joints on the market for the drive shafts and the front end. This truck will burn all six 36 inch tires with little effort. I can also easily reach speeds of 100+ MPH very quickly. She may be big, but speed and real pulling power is what this truck has.

Blown, is that a Powerdyne or a Paxton? If its a paxton did you have trouble with the mounting brackets?

This is my buddys 84 Z28 that i helped him do some work on (revamp) its a sb 350, ported LT1 heads, mild race cam, 9:1 flattop pistons, stock crank, edlebrock proformer RPM intake, 750cfm Demon Race series carb, Hughes race trany with a 3000 or 3500 rpm stall(cant remember..brain fart) with a transbreak, reverse lockout, B&M pro stick, Ford (UGH) 9 inch rear end with 3:70 for cogs, traction bars, subframe connectors,,,,now with the old set up a TH350 with a shift kit and the stock rear end with 3:73s it would run 12's in the quarter mile....dyno'd 425-450 hp at the crank, now with the new trans and rear end where not sure what it will run(seems a hellof alot quicker for sure) becuse of the shaved door handels the track wont let it run :( but its a nice car to cruise n and kill every piece of rice **** we come apon.....this is a scan so its kinda poor quality pic and it dosnt serve the car justice, it looks black in the picture but it is actually a Deep sparkly candy apple red in the lights n gloss black without, hopefully a 6-71 blower will be going on this christmas....heheh

NICE man, im in the middle of lookin for a 94-7 4 door dually to put a custom frame and coilover lift in.....cept i want a Powerstroke in it.....

I wish i had pics, me and 2 kids i know have 2 1 year old(and a couple days) dodge 2500s torn apart, we scrapped both the stock frames, the one frame is all custom and all boxed and what not, were puttin a couple foot of lift in it on 49 inchers, and on deuce and a half rears, the other one, we cut the back half the frame off, and made a new back half, boxed the front, and were puttin it on the ground, the lifted dodge has a cummins, the dropped dodge has a gas job in it, and they built a jeep on tractor tires, total custom frame, with 550 horse chevy sb in it....i didnt contribute to that that much tho...
i have pictures of my friends 49 panel on 44s custom frame made out of light posts from NYC and on deuce and a halfs and "the grasshopper"lol, race truck chassis on deuce and a halfs and tractor tires sb chevy and open headers....but my computers too slow to upload the pics, ill get them tomarrow night....

I have a couple of similar projects in the works right now. I sold that crew cab the get the Powerstoke equipped one I have now. Once I get the transmission rebiult I am also doing a coil spring conversion on the front. Money is always my road block though. At least I have the front end already.
