Could someone send a pic or a page scan showing the correct routing of the 1985 Tri-Z coolant overflow bottle OVERFLOW/BREATHER hose?
Not the one from the radiator but the one from the TOP of the coolant overflow bottle.
I'm trying to pinpoint exactly what route it takes....straight down? Along the swingarm to the rear?

Thanks for all of your help.

Sorry to Pimp out an Administrator but.....

Send Billy (Honda ATC) a PM. He's a Z guy, and dealt with hose routing recently after a trial and error test.... :D :D

Good luck

Mine (If I can remember right...) is routed up underneath the airbox, and the cover, and into the nut that holds the top tripple clamp on. The couple back pages in the manual show it, but its hard to understand if you dont have it right there with your Z looking at both of them at the same time. My book is in the toolbox over at the shop, otherwise I'd scan it for you. If someone else can't get it then I'll make one for you.

Thanks for the response, Billy.

But my fuel tank breather hose goes to the triple clamp nut.
That makes sense since my 250R does the same thing.
Hmmm.....
When I got the Z, the hose I'm referring to was routed straight down next to the coolant bottle and ran the length of the swingarm rearward discharging below the rear brake disc.
I can't imagine that being Yamaha-correct?

If any of you folks get a chance to scan or snap a pic, I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks again for any and all help!
