My 86 250R (after resto)

Hi I,ve posted a few pics now of my 250R before I started and a few during and now heres a few of her almost finished. I,ve rebuilt the topend with a 40thou over wiseco pro-lite piston ,new boyessen reeds new gaskets , rebuilt brake calipers & m/cylinders,new rear rotor new sprockets and chain, zinc plated axle and swinger (althougth that didnt turn out as good as I wanted so I sprayed it with a chrome effect paint) resprayed frame , new tank cover ,, the only things left is to bleed the brakes and to get her to run (no spark) but I,ve got a couple of friends on this site (petesatc and jez) who are good enuff to help me out,.. anyway heres a few pics

Hi thanks ,,yes it is ,most of the stuff I have bought on ebay from you guys in the *.S. If you go into a bike shop over here most people don,t know what * talking about if you mention atc250r lol!!!

you overinflated your tires, let them down to 5 psi or so, look on the sidewall for the max infated pressure, i think its 7 psi, looks like your have 15 in them....

I run 2lbs in my razrs on my 350x, works like a charm :-p

Hi again yeah I know I got to drop the air in the tyres I had the local bike shop fit them ..way too like ballons ,,they are the least of my worries tho I cant get any spark ,no readings on cdi , exciter coil plus i gotta bleed my brakes but luckily petesatc has lent me his vacuum bleed kit .What sort of plugs are you guys running i,m on a BR9EG is that ok? cheers

that looks great now, did the swinger keep rusting??. If im in wales i might have to come and make sure you have your tire pressures correct :D now when you have that one running get hold of a 350x and do a great job to that too, nice to see more trikes in the UK

Thats a great "mid-line" spark plug, thats what I've been runing since last October (same one for that whole time too). Too bad about paint'n that swinger, would have gone great with the rims. Well the axle still matches good. :beer

Hi Slothminx .. no I took some advice of the fellas on the site and soaked the swinger in baking soda then flushed with water then I hung it in the greenhouse for a good sauna !! I have also dropped the air in the tyres lol too much anyway .. Yeah AZ250R I,m gutted about painting the swinger but I just didnt have the time to mess about anymore In all fairness the company who zinced it said they would have another go(they done it twice) but I needed it back so I ended up painting it Thanks for a great site and top advice Stacey

i know of only 3 bikes in the UK..........

thats one nice 350x. your in wales aswell as stacey then. how did you get hold of a 350x ?. it sounds like all the trikes have ended up there. if im heading to wales i might have to come take a peek. what other trikes are you hiding from me then ??

i got the 350x off a guy who imported from cali about a year ago......
here are 2 others mint bikes i have got...the 85 R i did a full restro on last year the 86 200x is the only one in the UK it also road legal i go down the shops on it :D ....long story but i believe it was a honda show bike back in the day.....i got a few more as well but no photo's

road legal!!!! :eek: poole is only in dorset you should ride it here lol. i saw another 200x go on ebay a couple of weeks ago in leistershire i was gonna buy it but i had run out of cash:(. i would love one day to come and have a look at your trike you have all the fast trikes there what a collection!!
