okay, iam gettin into the market for either a 90 or a 70 ATC, iam want one of the two so that i can ride around with my XR50 freinds, and be unique not another 50 dude, anyways, i notice the 90's stop at like 79 or so (i dont know the full facts) i think the started in 72 and ran till 78 my question is??? are there many performance parts? how much bigger are they to a 70 and how much smaller then a 110? also if i did get a small bore trike i would defently pimp the little thing out... also i need a fourstroke so dont say get a twostroke because i need it to be alittle queiter (i live in a city) and my man ride spots are horse trials LOL so i cant be to loud. so please let me know what you guys think, also iam interested in either a 90 or 70, dont worry mods, iam going to post a thread in classifieds

id go with the 70 if ** running with xr70 as the 90 is nearly as big as a 110. im pretty sure that web cams still make a cam for it and i now www.powroll.com has big bore kits and stuff.

You can put a 110 motor in the 70 frame pretty easy from what I heard. :D

Hey ride red, You can put a 110 motor in an atc70 frame but the clearance for the front fender is tight. You can also put an old 90 motor into the atc70 frame. If you can find someone that still does it, the old atc 90s could be bored and stroked out to something like 185cc's! A gentleman from these boards in Australia builds special 200x engines to put into the atc70 frames. And if you can find one, there are the elusive suspension 70 frames. You can find examples of these at GlamisDunes.com. I'm trying to work out a deal to get a second suspension 70 now myslef. There are also many different aftermarket Honda copy engines available from Dr.Atv. I think you can only get them in kick start or electric start, manual or automatic shift. You can get as crazy as you want to with them. Just remember, you only have one small drum brake. It probably wouldn't be real hard to make a juice disk brake using a brake caliper from a racing go kart. Your only limits are your fabricating skills. Some peple do amazing things with these little 70s'. Alot of parts are still available for them, just try and stick with the later 4 speed models unless you are doing a total engine transplant. They are also fairly simple to work on. Buy a beater, dive in and have fun. Also the quietest exhaust is the stock exhaust.

Man you don't know what fun is until you have hopped on a 90 or a 70. I had (well still do have parts of a 90) and that little dude ripped. I think it ran right around 35-38mph. I raced my buddy on his moped with it and smoked him. Plus they have high/low range. I got a 70 for nothing and the engine was trashed so I have decided to put my 90 engine in the 70's frame. People told me I couldn't do it but it is almost done. I just have to work out a clearance issue with the front fender/motor mnt. But if you can find either of them at a good price I would say go for it. As long as the bottom end is in good shape your set. They are easy to work on. Plus parts are rather plentiful for them. Well except the US 90's because they are some what a collector item. Either way you will have fun. Go to dratv.com, they have alot of parts for 90's/110's. Stuff from mild to wild and rather pricey. Build somrthing all your own and have your buddies jealous.
