View Full Version : How do I remove swing arm bearings?

I am going to replace the bearings in both 200x swingers that I have but cann't get the old bearings out. Is there a trick to getting them out?

They suck.

I however hammered them out.. and gently tapped them in !

I searched and read that post 3 days ago. I had exactly the problem you've got right now. Original bearings stuck in there for the last 20 years. I used the socket trick in that thread and got them out in about 2 minutes. This was after using various drafts and punches for a solid couple of hours before I researched this topic.
Bought a smile to my face when they came out that easy.....gotta love the internet!

I'm told by the honda dealer to use a wire feed welder and weld a bead on the inside of the race wich will make it shrink and fall right out.. but i don't have access to a wire feed.. so i got the slide hammer thingy.
