I found this 1984 200X last summer sitting in a junk yard behind a pile of late model, busted up crotch rockets. I tried buying it then, but the owner of the salvage yard said it had a hold on it because it was a police impound. Over the course of the next year I bugged the guy about it until finally he called me a few days ago and told me to come get it. He was (and still is) under the impression he could not sell it. So he said if I did not come get it and make it go away he was going to crush it. Being the person I am, I rushed over there and saved it. I had to pay some back fees to get it out of there, but it was worth it to save it. It has already been sold to a good home in Texas. I just thought you all would like to see another successful rescue mission completed.

Very good bike for a restoring project. How much did you have to pay to get that thing outta the junk yard?

This thing is in wonderful condition. I had to put out $250 plus fuel to go get it. I think it was worth the money and drive time.

From what I can tell of it, this is going to easy to make a rider again. All the various 200X parts that I already have laying around are going to make this a quick job indeed. Its really in better shape than the pictures show.. Thanks for letting me know about it Lonesome, Your M/O is in the mail today.

I agree, I think that he drags more out of harms way and out of the bushes than anyone else I know. Florida is going to be trikeless unless you go to his backyard, then it will be a vast Ocean of Yellow yamaha's racing around everywhere. :naughty:
