Finally got the 200x all together. It runs pretty good after an oil change, new plug and carb rebuild. Just got the new tires and rims on tonight.

Yes that is a 350x headlight on it. I love the look of these lights.

I'm still waiting on the new chain adjusters and front and rear master cylinders.

My wife is having trouble starting it so if anyone has any tips on how someone who weighs 105 lbs can kick one over I'm all ears.

It appears the rear axle is also bent so I'll post a need for one in the classifieds.

I said previously I was trying to stay around a $500 budget but I'm pretty sure I'm over it. I'm kinda scared to add all the receipts.

uhm you can put a 185s,200,200s,200e,200es,or 200m valve cover on it..the ones with the decompression levers...its alot easier...what compression piston do you have in it? if its anything over stock a decomp valve cover helps

About any local machine shop can straighten that axle for about $15-$20.

As for getting it started, start feeding that poor girl!

I'm not sure if the piston is stock or what. The guy I got it from told me the top end was rebuilt but no details. Where do i get the cover with the decomp. lever. Anybody got one?

LOL. She eats as much as I do. High metabolism? I'll check some local shops but the threads are kind of iffy on the left side. I'd feel safer with a new one.

You need the specific valve cover that has the manual decompression release. 200es I think it was. The 200x side cover does not have the built in into it,like that of a 350x or 86-87 200x.

. You can also look into, putting it up to the handlebars so that she doesnt have to reach over/under everytime either.

On this trike, you should have a sweet spot as well, aprox half way down right after it hits the lobe, tell her as it hits this, it is not the weight it is the speed of the kick.

LOL I only get mine every few times as well.

VERY NICE TRIKE!!!

Jenn is correct on the Valve cover> however, to broaden your search, you can also use, 81 (and some 82) ATC 200 (not S models) 82-83-84 BigReds and the 200M is the same. all have the manual lever that should make starting a little eaiser. Oh, Looks great as well.

Thanks guys. I'll look more into the decomp later. Turns out the gearing is f'd up. Trouble shifting into second and third gear. Any ideas? I've never cracked the case on one of these and am kinda afraid to.

First off she does'nt have the leg muscle of a guy and also the 350x has a compression release. She starts my 350x fine. The 200x has a rebuilt topend and a race cam so I think that is making a difference.

Seadoo you could not have said that any better. I am sorry boys, we are not built with the same equipment, and strength. And yeah those changes make all the difference in the world. I am up to 10-1 with full xr topend, and it flippen kills me after a few kicks.

I have uploaded a pict for kilabeez, and you seadoo. I hope this helps. I can get closer picts if you like, and show you the pysical rockers to their relases as well. I unfortantly do not have mine hooked up yet because I went with the xr rocker not the es rocker. It is very important you have the right rocker for the decompresion. And I have not really wanted to repull that engine out. It does work I know that, but because of the rocker being the wrong one, it release too much compression. But the one thing I do not like is the location of the switch. Right now, I am hoping to keep that rocker and move the switch to the handlebars. I Just have not had time to actually sit down and think this out better.

Jenn, I hav'nt hooked up the light yet but I don't think it will be too hard. I'll let ya know when it's there. No mods to install. If fits perfect.
