never worked on one before so i have a few questions

on the rear end"its shaft driven" standing behind the bike looking down at the rear end there is a capbolt left side thats like a valve adjusting bolt on a atc 70 is that were * ad the gear oil into the rear at? if so what do * do fill it till it starts to spill back out?

i removed the front tire the other day and the forks fell apart i noticed there is no bolts in the bottom of the forks cause there kinda rotted, has anyone ever just welded the top of the fork to the bottom of the fork?

If i remove the drive shaft from the rear end will fluid leak there if i dont empty the rear first.

dumb questions but i wanted to know lol

yep. that big cap is for the rear-end oil.. fill it with 80w hypoid gear oil up to the threads.

I like to tip the left tire up an inch or so to get a bit more in there.

Take it out for a spin first to warm the oil up a bit.. it will pout out easier.. there is a drain bolt at the very bottom of it.

The forks.. you could weld them on.. i've also seen guys drill a hole traight thru and bolt them together.. but welding would be stronger.

oh.. and you should be able to slide the axle out without loosing the oil.. but there is only a few oz's in there so flushing it out is simple and a good idea no matter what.

The brake drum is Inside the rear end on the right side.. you can open the right side cover without draining the oil.. be aware it can be a hasle to remove if someone silyconed it shut.

I can't remember right now.. but those big nuts.. any chance they're reverse thread ?

I used big adjustable lock plyers to get mine off on the old red... and have had friends need to use pipe wrenches with 4 ft extender bars before.... they can be a hasle.

The fork shock has a bolt under the top of the boot and a nut at the bottom of the slider..remove both and the damper assembly will fall out...I have a complete assembly on ebay but expires today...I recently rebuilt two es fork/damper assembly so if you have questions..fire them up!..but really it's not very complicated til tou try to remove the whole fork..get a schematic from parts fish or bike bandit.

Since my father in laws gonna be riding it im gonna try to talk him into finding a good set of forks that work instead of welding these toghter but hes kinda cheap lol

If you don't need the front rack you can swap the whole front end for a large frame 200 with the hydrolic front end. Large frame being the 200 with 9" wheels.
