I called wiseco about a bore and hone job on my buddies Tri-Z and asked about cranks. They highly recommended Crank Works from Tempe AZ. Has anyone used them? Good or bad stories welcome, thanks.

When I lived out there, I did not hear a bad thing about them.

Well I've lived here, in the Phoenix metro valley area, for over 20 years now and thats another new name to me. So don't know much about them. Problem is here in the valley metro area, it seems like there is a motorcycle shop in almost every strip mall and even more in the industrial areas. So we're talking close to 100 places that can do that type of work. Everyone I visit tells me "their the BEST"!?!?! So without having had actual work done there, all I can do is ask around. So I called Screwie Lewies, and talked with Lewie (he's done top end rebuilds for my 250R to PERFECTION). He knew the owner of Crank Works and said they both bought this special "crank fixture" back in the day. So they can work on them better than places that don't have one. He said he could do the same job @ his shop too. So if the price is right, go fer it. Otherwise find someplace closer IMO. :beer

PR Racing (Power Rider) built my R motor back in the 80's and it's still going strong (only one new piston and bore job since then). They were a very well respected shop back in the day. Haven't been there in ages.

I had Phli, the owner do a stroker crank for a 250R about 5 years ago. He (they) did an excellent job. They have been around for years and are a respectable company. That is my experience and 2 cents.
