I dont care who makes it or really how much its extened, but I have no clue where to start looking for either a new one (which Ill proble never find lol) or a used one. any help is appreciated :beer :beer

The cheapest way is to build your own. Find another swing arm for the doner parts, (rear carrier section) & possibly the front pivot section. Does the engine mount in the middle of the front pivot bolt on your 83? If not then I have my machine shop buddy make me the front section & get some good light but strong tubing, and build it rite on the bike so you can keep your chain alightment perfect. If I had a 83-84 I would make you one.

Yes, it mounts in the middle. I have all the tools needed, but Id really like a "factory" one. But then what do I do for the pivot point for the mono shock? I mean where do I mount the mono in back?? I am not that worried about price....I am kinda expecting it to be expensive any how. IF ANY ONE HAS DONE A SWINGER EXTENSION (REGARDLESS OF YEAR OR MACHINE) PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU DID.
