200x has no spark

Hello all.Just got a 1985 200x from my cousin.Sat for a while but would start on the 3rd or 4th kick. so I am riding the other day and get into a mudhole that was a little deeper than expected.motor stalls and water goes up tailpipe (ATC enema?) anyway I changed the oil and all but now there is no spark at the plug.Any ideas or past experience is greatly appreciated.

Start at stator, looking for water, and then work yourselve up the wiring. What you are doing is tracing where you lost the spark at. You can use a multi meter to help isolate, the manual will give specs, but while searching, since you went into water you probably have something wet somewhere. Pull connections make sure they are dry and so on. CDI ,Stator are the 2 I would look closely at.

Thanks for your reply.don't know what happened but I just happened to try it today and it fired right up! I guess whatever was wet finally dried out.
